If the Sunshine Coast could be bottled into one spirit, Sunshine & Sons would be the perfect genie. Step through their distillery door for an experience worth raising a glass to. A distillery tour is the best way to fully understand and appreciate founders’ Matt Hobson and Michael Conrad’s philosophy and commitment to sustainable production.
“There’s nothing better for our team than seeing the products we love, being equally loved by visitors. We’re 100% certain we can find the right spirit choice for every visitor who walks through our distillery door.”
- Matt Hobson, Co-founder of Sunshine & Sons
Sunshine & Sons
Sipping on sunshine
It’s no secret that Queensland’s Sunshine Pantry is bursting with subtropical goodness and the largest distillery on the Sunshine Coast, Sunshine & Sons, has plenty to bring to the party.
Pot-distilled using a carefully-curated mix of local and traditional botanicals, the distillery’s spirits are a local favourite. Located in Woombye, the distillery door has a famous neighbour – the iconic Big Pineapple – which is also paid homage to in the distillery’s signature Pineapple Parfait Gin.
The flavours of the Sunshine Coast run deep at Sunshine & Sons, with a portfolio packed full of pineapple, strawberry, mango, passionfruit, vanilla and coconut.
Woombye Cheese
Cheese and... gin?
Surrounded by lush subtropical rainforest, the distillery is a lively local producer of vodkas, gins and Australia’s first and only certified organic rum, Nil Desperandum. Sip on the essence of the Sunshine Coast under the golden afternoon sunlight and wrap up your distillery tour with zesty cocktails and a local cheeseboard from award-winning Woombye Cheese which is located just up the road.
Take your pick from their range of aged cheddars, ash bries and creamy camemberts. They’re all served up with gourmet, local lavosh crackers from Silver Tongue Foods and tangy orange marmalade flavoured with Sunshine & Sons’ spent gin botanicals.
