It could be the fairy floss skies, or maybe the golden glow that casts over the sparkling water. We think it’s all of the above.
From the beaches to the rivers and beyond, we’ve rounded up the best spots to catch the best views during ‘golden hour’!
Point Cartwright – Sunrise & Sunset
At the northern end of Kawana Beach, this headland offers up some of the most stunning views on the Sunshine Coast.
Point Cartwright headland, Kawana
Looking in a north-west direction, you have a bird’s eye view of the fairy floss sunsets over Mooloolaba, Mount Coolum, Alexandra Headland, Maroochydore Beach and the beginnings of Cotton Tree. Walk to the other side of the headland and you get a straight shot right down the coastline all the way to Caloundra as the sun rises.
Kawana Beach – Sunrise
Looking for that moment when the sun peeks its head over the horizon with nothing but water and sand in your view? Kawana Beach is ready and waiting for you!
The sun may get up super early in the summer months, so we opt for winter sunrises on this stretch of sand.
