The Tamarind Cooking School
If you've dined at The Tamarind and want to recreate some of the superb dishes you've tasted, sign up for one of their cooking classes. On Saturdays, Spicers Tamarind Retreat's purpose-built cooking school runs classes in Asian, French, or Italian cuisine. Under the expert eye of a Spicers chef, you can whip up a four-course meal and then sit down to enjoy it with a glass of wine. This year, experience the exclusive opportunity to dive into Sri Lankan cuisine with internationally renowned chef and restaurateur Peter Kuruvita. Peter will run three classes in April, June, and November, with limited spots available. Cooking classes start at 11am and starting from $225 per person they also include an apron, lunch, a glass of wine, and a recipe book with all the dishes you cooked so you can recreate them at home. Bookings are essential.
