Discover Coolum.

Coolum has an impressive surf club culture, with lifesavers first patrolling the pristine waters of this laidback coastal town way back in 1919. It’s also the home break of pro surfer Julian Wilson (so you know the waves are going to be fab).

Nestled comfortably near the shores of Marcoola and Peregian, Coolum is fringed by grassy beachfronts, parks, and an idyllic ocean backdrop. If you’re in the mood for beachside strolls, sunrise hikes and some adrenaline-fuelled fun (how does water-skiing at Oz Ski Resort sound?), then Coolum is the spot for you.

The Green Mile

Don’t miss your chance to explore the wonders of the ancient Mount Coolum National Park. Stretch your legs and hike to 208 metres above sea level for a spectacular 360-degree view of Point Cartwright, the Glass House Mountains and Noosa Heads to the north. Looking for a more leisurely stroll? Amble your way through the Marcoola-Yaroomba Foreshore Bushland Conservation Reserve, with spectacular views of Mount Coolum along the way.

Good food, done well

Fuel up with a margarita and exclusive Happy Hour pork belly slider from Canteen Kitchen and Bar, or tuck into fish and chips (with local snapper, of course!) from Alley Cat Espresso. You’ll also want to check out new kid on the block, Coolum Beer Co, for some epic brews.

View from the top

You can’t miss Coolum’s biggest (literally) attraction – Mount Coolum – that keeps guard over the town and sea. In the warm summer months, kids will also love checking out the Blast Aqua Park Coolum. Watch them run wild across the enormous floating labyrinth of inflatables (or join in the fun yourself!).
