Caitlin Bassett comes to life on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast with a perfect blend of coast to hinterland experiences at her doorstep.

How long have you lived on the Sunshine Coast?
I moved to the Coast in November 2016.

Why did you move here?
To play for the Sunshine Coast Lightning netball team.

What is your greatest achievement?
Winning World Cup and Commonwealth Games gold medals.

What do you love about the region?
The weather, the people and the laid back lifestyle.

Do you have a ‘favourite’ location for training outdoors?
I love all the amazing hikes you can do across the Sunshine Coast.

Do you have a foodie haunt?
Decisions Café in Kawana/Birtinya - I love everything on their menu.

How do you spend your free time?
Exploring my new home - hitting up local farmer’s markets, driving up to Noosa or out to Montville and going to the beach with the dog.

If you could choose - Beach or Hinterland?
Tough choice, I love both. Beach probably just has the edge.
