Gympie Regional Gallery
The Gympie Regional Gallery is housed in the heritage listed School of Arts Building designed by architect Hugo Du Rietz and built in 1905.. The Gallery, a Category A rating facility, enables it to cater for both major national travelling exhibitions to locally curated exhibits that highlight the artists and local stories of the region and promotes the development of the arts as an integral part of the local community bringing education opportunities, cultural enrichment, economic and social benefits to the entire region. It presents a dynamic range of exhibitions and public programs tailored to the interests of the community. These include the popular and long running school holiday programs of the Gallery offering children and youth an opportunity to experiment with different artforms.
